CORNERED

A new work by Jim Cartwright (ROAD, LITTLE VOICE) one of the UK’s greatest living writers. A collaboration that has grown out of Microwave, Cornered is a surreal hyper- journey through a forgotten corner of a mucky old street in a grimy old town where the residents are being forced out of their homes by an oligarch set on gentrifying their street. This is a story of people overthrowing the oppressor – with music and laughs from a wonderful all-star cast. “Whisky Galore! meets Eraserhead.” Financing now.

THE CONFIDENCE TRICK

A COMEDY ROMANCE IN THE EALING TRADITION

THE CONFIDENCE TRICK is a fast-paced, original comedy romance in the style of Passport to Pimlico and The Lavender Hill Mob: A seemingly hapless bunch of misfits fighting back against big business and small-time crooks. It has all the elements of a classic Ealing comedy: An insurmountable problem, earnest protagonists, horribly obvious villains, an atmospheric location, strange locals, and of course… The Cad!

In development with Northern Ireland Screen. Adrian Dunbar to direct.
